Katherine 'Kas' M. George, generous, loving Christian

Katherine M. George, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at her home in Millsboro. She was born June 14, 1935, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Harold and Katherine McCord.

Katherine was a devout Christian and loving family member. She regularly attended Sunday service at Long Neck United Methodist Church. She was also an avid video gamer, who enjoyed playing Nintendo with her husband and grandchildren. Katherine also loved bowling and the ocean, and would regularly visit the Ocean City, Md., boardwalk.

Katherine was a military wife and factory worker. She was also employed in the catering business in Baltimore and Nebraska. In her spare time, Katherine also produced various works of art, including glass and paintings.

Katherine is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Kenneth H. George of Millsboro; her son Frank F. Spalt Jr. of Millsboro; her grandsons: Todd Spalt of Baltimore, Frank Spalt III of Millsboro, and Nicholas Spalt of Millsboro; great-grandson Ember Spalt; and daughter-in-law Carol Comes.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, June 25, at Long Neck United Methodist Church.
