Larry Lafferty, loved drumming

August 15, 2017

Larry Lafferty (Hugh Lawrence Lafferty IV), born Feb. 15, 1964, passed away the morning of Monday, July 31, 2017, surrounded by very good friends.

Larry grew up in West Grove, Pa. For the last five years of his life, Larry resided in Millsboro. Throughout his life Larry worked various jobs in the service industry, because Larry had a way with people and he enjoyed the interactions he had in that industry. However, his true love was drumming. Larry was never happier than when he was able to play the drums.

In his life, Larry loved many people and was loved by many. To know him was to be his friend. Larry treated everyone in his life like his own family, and would do anything for those important to him. Larry showed constant love and support for those in his life, and showed great pride whenever speaking of those who were important to him.

Larry is survived by his son Arion; his nieces Lexie and Brie; his friend who was his brother in every way except blood, Brian Clark along with Brian's wife Christine, and their children Krystal and Robert. Larry is also survived by his friend and confidant of most of his life, Lisa Stewart. His mother, So Hi Kim, and father, Michael Lafferty, preceded him in death.

Services for Larry will be held at Nottingham Park in Pennsylvania from 3 p.m. to dusk, Saturday, Aug. 19, Pavillion 9. We ask that you bring your photos and memories of Larry to share, and a covered dish.
