The Lewes/Rehoboth 11-12 All-Stars could have gotten down after Millsboro’s TJ Morris hit a leadoff home run and then added another run, but they did just the opposite. Lewes/Rehoboth responded with two of their own to tie it 2-2.
Millsboro took a 5-2 lead, but once again the Lewes/Rehoboth squad responded, this time adding six runs, led by home runs from Wes McLaughlin and Ty Hudson.
Lewes/Rehoboth tacked on five more to get the 13-5 win.
Pitchers Will Hocker, McLaughlin, Brian Fleming and Luke Shockley teamed for the victory. McLaughlin picked up the win.
“We are playing really great right now,” said Lewes/Rehoboth manager Billy Hocker. “This is one of the best teams I’ve ever coached. They lift each other up and support each other and have really gelled as a team.”
