Name change in store for Cadbury at Lewes

The Moorings at Lewes a nod to area’s nautical connection
January 4, 2018

Residents and visitors will soon see a new name as they enter Cadbury at Lewes on Gills Neck Road. Effective immediately, the community will be known as The Moorings at Lewes.

In May, it was announced that Cadbury Senior Lifestyles would become an affiliate of Springpoint Senior Living, a New Jersey-based nonprofit provider of housing and services for seniors. The affiliation became official in October.

In a press release announcing the name change, the company said The Moorings at Lewes was chosen to reflect the community’s unique nautical surroundings.

““We are extremely excited about this name change and the plans we have for the community,” said Anthony A. Argondizza, president and CEO of Springpoint Senior Living. “All Springpoint communities have a strong reputation for high-quality service and care. Each different in its own way, our communities encourage residents to pursue engaged and active lifestyles their way.”

Along with the name change, the community has adopted a new logo. The changes are effective immediately and all future business activity will be conducted under the new name.

The Moorings at Lewes offers 130 independent living apartments and cottages, 45 assisted living and 40 skilled nursing beds. In all, Cadbury has nearly 200 employees and 447 residents and clients.

Springpoint currently operates eight continuing care retirement communities, 19 affordable housing communities and a homecare division.
