Milton Water Committee to meet
Milton Water Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Milton library. The committee will follow-up on the town's mapping system, a water discrepancy process, review a public works report and water-related fees. Milton Economic Development Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, in the WBOC Conference Room at 1 The Square. The committee will discuss sustainability activities, a proposed economic plan, joining an AARP network of age-friendly cities and other business. Cape Henlopen school board meets Feb. 16
The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, in the cafeteria of Beacon Middle School, for a workshop meeting. The board will discuss before- and after-school care for elementary students, and also a world language immersion program.
Indian River holds referendum meeting
Indian River School District is holding public meetings on the upcoming referendum scheduled for March 2.
Meetings will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, at Indian River High School and 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at Sussex Central High School.
District officials will present information on the current expense referendum that would raise local funding for school safety, student services, textbooks and technology. If passed, the referendum would raise $7.3 million. The average district taxpayer would pay about $95 more a year, if the referendum is approved.
