Rebecca ‘Becky’ S. Munsell, enjoyed golfing
Rebecca "Becky" S. Munsell, 72, of Dagsboro, formerly of Centreville, Md., and Northern Baltimore County, Md., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at her home.
Becky was born in Baltimore, Oct. 28, 1945, daughter of the late Austin Frederick Schmidt Jr. and the late Gale Junior (McKnight) Schmidt. She was a graduate of Towson High School, and also graduated from Strayer's Business School in Baltimore.
She and her husband John worked together on their farm in Baltimore County. Becky was a member of the Women's Civic Committee of Bethany Beach. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, bowling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Schmidt. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John S. Munsell Sr.; two children, Sarah (Timothy) Fiedler of Stewartstown, Pa., and Stuart Munsell of Baltimore; five grandchildren, Jordan Hochberg, Dalton Munsell, Gabriella Munsell, Kayte Fiedler and Jacob Fiedler; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emma Hochberg.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Becky's name to the American Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
