Ruth Ann Justice, loved to bowl

Ruth Ann Justice, 74, of Dagsboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. Ruth Ann was born in Ocean View, Jan. 26, 1943, daughter of the late Raymond H. Hitchens and Lillian (Moore) Hitchens Gray.

Ruth Ann was a homemaker, and was a deeply devoted mother, daughter, grandmother and sister.

She loved to bowl and was a member of several bowling leagues throughout the years. Ruth Ann also enjoyed going out to eat, reading, and in her younger years, crabbing and fishing.

In addition to her father, Raymond H. Hitchens, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Justice in 1993; and a stepfather, W. Elmond Gray Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Smith and her husband Kevin of Millsboro; her mother, Lillian Gray of Millsboro; two grandchildren, David Smith, and Stephen Smith and his companion Caci Barron, all of Millsboro; a sister, Deanna McCabe and her husband Darryl of Lewes; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, Dec. 1, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Millsboro Cemetery.
