Steven V. Brummell, country club chef

Steven V. Brummell, 63, of Millsboro, passed away at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Monday, Jan. 16, 2017.

He was born in Philadephia, Pa.,  Oct. 14, 1953. He had worked as a chef at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, and was a kind man who enjoyed helping people. He loved to go shopping, and appreciated good food, and loved to eat. He was a hardworking, nice husband, and a very good stepfather. He loved to visit the Philippines every year.

He is survived by his wife, Nilda A. Almocera Brummell of Millsboro; and two sons: Petemark A. Alapan and Charina A. Alapan. He also has a brother, Roger Brummell; and one grandchild: Name A. Tayag. Steven is leaving behind many, many friends and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother: Sammy.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. At 6 p.m. brief prayers will be said, with the viewing resuming till 7 p.m.

Interment arrangements are private.
