Storage facility takes shape at entrance to Rehoboth

July 28, 2017

The soaring steel structure rising fast at the entrance to Rehoboth Beach is a new storage facility, county records show.

The structure, dominating a point of land at the entrance to Rehoboth Beach from Route 1, is Rehoboth Pointe, owned by Jeff Zerby Sr. It will offer more than 4,000 square feet of warehouse and storage space when complete, according to the final site plan approved by Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission a year ago, in July 2016.

The Zerby family of Rehoboth Beach owns businesses that include the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel in Rehoboth as well as The Point Coffee Shop, adjacent to the site of the storage structure, and purchased the land at auction in March 2011.
