USO honors Donna Bunting of Lewes for service

Donna Bunting of Lewes recently received the Gold Level President’s Volunteer Service Award for her service at the USO, Dover Air Force Base air terminal. In addition to her duties as a USO center representative and participant in fundraising events, Bunting serves during dignified transfers, providing assistance when fallen military members return home.
Bunting also provides the services of Bos’n, her family golden retriever and honorary USO volunteer, as an emotional support animal.
A native of Salisbury, Md., Bunting has served in law enforcement community in Maryland and Delaware. She resides in Lewes with her husband Steve.
