April 29, 2017

Delaware Watercolor Society will host a four-day watercolor workshop in June.

This workshop, with award- winning artist Mick McAndrews, will be held at the Glade Clubhouse in Rehoboth Beach, June 8-11, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will Explore the Magic of Watercolor, using plenty of water and pigment to exploit the wonder and intrinsic beauty of watercolor.

Each morning McAndrews will complete a full demonstration covering a variety of subjects. Each afternoon students will work on their own, with one-on-one assistance from the instructor. Each day will end with critiques offering positive feedback and discussion of the day's work.

He believes "painting is great fun and when we are having fun it can be seen by the viewer in our finished work."

McAndrews is a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and the Baltimore Watercolor Society.
