Worcester Prep holds commencement for Class of 2017

The Worcester Preparatory School Class of 2017 commencement exercises took place May 26 in the school's athletic and performing arts center in Berlin, Md.

During the ceremony, Headmaster Dr. Barry Tull presented top awards to Sambina Anthony, Seaford, Valedictorian; Regan Lingo, Rehoboth Beach, Salutatorian; and Ross Deckmann, Milton, Best All-Round Student.

A 1994 graduate of Worcester Prep Class of 1994, Brad Bebee delivered the commencement address to the Worcester Prep Class of 2017. Bebee was a National Merit Semifinalist who attended University of Maryland at College Park on a full scholarship, graduating cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in computer science in 1998. Today, he is a principal product manager at Amazon Web Services. Bebee currently resides in Seattle with his wife and two children, ages 6 and 8.

The 56 graduates received over $5.5 million in merit scholarship offers, and will attend 35 different colleges and universities in the fall.
