Beach Waves stylists ready to cut, color and more

Beach Waves – A Family Salon, is a full-service salon offering hair cuts for men and children and a variety of beauty care services for women.

Eileen King, salon owner, has been a stylist in the area for 34 years. She said the shop features a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed.

“We feel we are more than just a team of stylists, we are a family,” said King.

Open since Sept. 27, stylists and guests took part in a ribbon cutting for the business Oct. 6. Beach Waves’ grand-opening celebration is 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23. There will be refreshments and door prizes.

The menu of services offered at the salon is extensive. Kids’ haircuts start at $15, men’s start at $20, and women's start at $27.

The salon provides cut/style, shampoo/set, blow-dry and formal hairstyling for prices starting at $37.

Hair color services start at $35 for sun kissed, up to $85 for full.

Hair chemical services include perms for $82, and a keratin treatment to smooth out frizzy hair for up to three months is $250.

“Our nail services include manicures and basic and spa pedicures. The difference between a basic and spa pedicure is one takes a half-hour, and the other takes an hour and includes more treatments and massage,” King said. The salon offers nail shellac, which is nail polish that lasts two weeks or longer. Facial and body waxing services are also available.

Beach Waves is located at 17252 N. Village Main Blvd., The Villages of Five Points, near Food Lion. Shop hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Early and late appointments are available by request.
