Preparations begin across Cape Region

Track uncertain; flooding, beach erosion possible

NOAA's latest hazardous weather outlook indicates tropical cyclone Sandy is forecast to move northward and is expected to affect the Cape Region "in the Sunday though Tuesday time frame."  Heavy rainfall, high winds, coastal flooding and beach flooding are possible with this storm.  The outlook says: "There remains quite a bit of uncertainty with the track and therefore the actual forecast details across our area at this time."  For updated information, keeping checking capegazette.com.
