DelDOT issues road closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation has issued Sussex County road closures for the following:

- Route 1 between Dewey and Bethany beaches

- Cedar Creek drawbridge

- Prime Hook Road

- Long Neck Road to Route 24

- Vines Reed Road at Falling Point Road

- In Milton: Route 5 at Union Street; Magnolia Street and Chandler Street

In addition, tolls for north- and southbound traffic in Delaware have been waived until further notice.

Gov. Markell has issued a Level 2 driving restriction effective now for the state. Only essential personnel supporting "core functions of government, healthcare, safety or food and fuel" are allowed on the roads.  First-time violations for a Level 2 state of emergency is a $115 fine; second office is $200 and 30 days in jail.
