Federal employees association swears in new officers

Coastal Sussex Chapter 1690 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees association recently swore in its 2013 officers at its holiday luncheon at 1776 Steakhouse in Rehoboth Beach.

They are (l-r) President Larry Trombello, 2nd Vice President Dick Oliver, Secretary Nancy Purhase, Treasurer John Pitman and 1st Vice President Bob Chin.  NARFE represents the interests and welfare of active and retired federal employees, and conducts charity events to raise funds to support Alzheimer’s research.

The Sussex County chapter last May raised $6,573 for Alzheimer’s research at its local annual charity golf tournament at Salt Pond Golf Course in Bethany Beach. The chapter holds monthly luncheon meetings at 1776 Steakhouse the second Thursday of every month.
