Artists' meet and greet, guild show to feature locals Feb. 9

February 6, 2013

What's Cooking at The Kitchen is an artistic presentation of food and beverage created by local talent, including Chef Ray Richardson. Painters Libby Zando and Yvonne Frankis are displaying their whimsical food-related works along with realistic watercolors by C. Merecedes Walls. Gervaiso Ruiz will feature exquisite photographs printed on aluminum. The show is at The Kitchen at Paynter’s Mill on Route 88 at Route 1.

Both Ruiz and Walls are affiliated with Mispillion Art League. Libby Zando is with the Milton Arts Guild and, along with Walls and Frankis, is also a Rehoboth Art League member. A portion of the proceeds from this show will go to Children & Families First, an organization that's been assisting needy families throughout Delaware for 125 years.

The Milton Arts Guild's Annual Winter Show will take place at the Milton Fire House, with more than 25 artists showing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9. Visitors to the show can include a lunch or snack at The Kitchen at Paynter's Mill, where they can continue to view and support locals plus enjoy the artists’ meet and greet from 1 to 3 p.m., at The Kitchen at Paynter's Mill. For more information contact Zando at 302-684-4601.
