DelDOT installs lighting on Rt. 1 at Cave Neck Road

Delaware's Department of Transportation recently installed roadway lighting at the Route 1 and Cave Neck Road intersection, an area where 28 crashes have occurred over the past five years, including six at night. Transportation officials said a 2011 study of the intersection, just north or Red Mill Pond, showed a need for lighting, which was installed at a cost of about $42,000.
