Cape Artists Gallery to reopen for season March 2

February 25, 2013

The Cape Artists Gallery at 110 West Third St. in Lewes will be reopening for the season with a weekend event 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3.   During March and April, the gallery will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday.

The Cape Artists Gallery will have all new paintings, jewelry by Faye Kempton and members' note cards. All artists are local and all paintings are original, including oil, watercolors and acrylics scenes. Local landscapes, landmarks, florals, marine studies and abstracts are among the paintings visitors find hanging in the gallery.

The Cape Artists also welcome new member Olaive Burrows Jones.  Jones, in addition to being an academic through her many degrees in music, teaching and practicing psychotherapy, has added painting to her resume. She concentrates on representational art, and her passion lies in color exploration that leads her into abstract art.
