James Lee Willis Sr., retired technician

James Lee Willis Sr., 70, of Millsboro, and formerly of Marcus Hook, Pa., passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in the loving care of his family with the assistance of hospice at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1943, in Chester, Pa. to his late parents: James Willis and Leila Pennington Henshaw. In addition, he is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Chris Henshaw. He was a retired die technician for the Scott Paper Company, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a CB radio enthusiast (KJP-1529) and went by the handle “Goldfoot.” He was kind hearted to everybody, and was always there for people.

He is survived by his children: Paula Houser, and husband James of Marcus Hook, James Lee Willis Jr. and his companion Shelly of Bridgeville, and Raymond Willis, of Millsboro; and his daughter-in-law: Colleen Willis. He has 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, along with several stepchildren, stepbrothers and stepsisters, extended family and many friends. He leaves behind two special friends: Richie and Roseanne.

All services and arrangements are private and will be scheduled later in Pennsylvania, where he will be interred. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
