Laura G. Gouge, retired teacher

Laura G. Gouge, 92, of Sewickley, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, in the Masonic Village of Sewickley.

Laura was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Harve De Grace, Md., to the late Arthur and Susie Trimble Greenwood. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor of arts degree and was employed as an elementary school teacher in the Middletown and Rehoboth Beach school systems for 20 years.

After retiring she moved to Sewickley, where she lived for the last 20 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cards and most of all her four children, W. Douglas Gouge Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., Larrie Gouge of Lake George, N.Y., Sue Neeley of Paris, Pa. and Michael Gouge of Oakland Park, Fla.; and grandchildren: Michael Neeley, Elise, Laura and Julia Gouge. She was predeceased by her husband, Winton D. Gouge Sr.; and her sister Phyllis Schabinger.

A memorial service in her memory will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, at The Masonic Village in Sewickley in the Retired Living Assembly Room with the Rev. Tim Richert officiating. Copeland's of Sewickley Pa. is in charge of arrangements.
