More than 100 artists, both local and from around the country, will be displaying their fine work along the bandstand and boardwalk areas as well as the expanded street festival areas of Parkwood Street and Garfield Parkway downtown.

New this year is the addition of a Children’s Art and Activity Area in the Lighthouse Shops area and special a Farm-to-Table Farmers Market in the PNC parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both new elements are sponsored by Burbage Properties.

Also new this year is a Wine Tasting event at Sedona Restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue in cooperation with Beach Liquors from 2 to 5 p.m. The Mike Bradley Show on 92.7 FM WGMD will be broadcasting live from the boardwalk area from 9 a.m. to noon, featuring interviews with the artists, sponsors, town business owners and other special guests from Bethany Beach. Live music will also be a part of the event.

“We are excited to add these new elements to the event,” said Chamber Executive Director David Martin. “By offering more to do off the Boardwalk, we hope to impact the town’s businesses in a positive way and really have attendees experience all of Bethany.”

Each year, many of the artists from the show generously donate a piece of their work to be included in a Silent Auction held on the bandstand until 4 p.m. One hundred percent of the profits from the silent auction that day go to local arts programs at the four elementary schools in the Indian River School District.

“The chamber is very grateful to WSFS Bank and the Town of Bethany for their continued support of one of the premier events in the Quiet Resorts area,” said Martin. “The arts festival is celebrating 35 wonderful years and continues to be one of the chamber’s signature events. We are excited to present a community- and business-focused event that will introduce many to the uniqueness of Bethany Beach and the Quiet Resorts.”

Logistical support is provided by the Town of Bethany Beach. For a complete list of artists and more information about the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival, visit www.TheQuietResorts.com.
