Caesar Rodney wins Henlopen Conference cross country titles

Cape boys and girls place third

Caesar Rodney swept the Henlopen Conference Cross Country Championships contested Nov. 2 at Killens Pond State Park, winning both the boys' and girls' team titles.

The Cape Henlopen squads pulled down a pair of third-place team finishes, while the Sussex Tech boys placed second behind Caesar Rodney.

Rebekah Mills of Caesar Rodney was the girls' overall champion with a time of 19:25.

David Hall of Smyrna won the boys' race in 16:20 followed by San Phillips, CR, 16:36; Gabe Mojica, Smyrna, 16:42; Austin MacElrevey, Cape, 16:53; and Pat Gallucci, CR, 17:10.

The state championship meet for Division I and II both boys and girls will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at Killens Pond State Park.

The order or running is Division II girls 1 p.m. followed by Division I at 1:40 p.m. The Division II boys' race is 2:20 p.m., followed by Division I at 3 p.m.
