Lloyd W. Hudson, DelMarVa Paving owner

Lloyd W. Hudson, 86, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at his winter residence in Sebring, Fla. Thursday Jan. 23, 2014.

He was the son of the late Charles and Hulda Hudson.

He owned and operated DelMarVa Paving with his partner and longtime friend, Ross Smith. He was an avid Yankees fan and was always present at his children's and grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Anne Holding, who died in 1978. He is survived by his sons, L. Glenn and his wife Kathy, Rodney ‘Bo’ and his wife Jeanette, Charles and his wife Ruth, and his daughter Shirley Chaney and her husband Lee; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, who were the love of his life.

Friends may call Monday Jan. 27, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 E Market St., Georgetown, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private.
