Kadi 'Kathy' Wilberg-Sing, loved working with children

March 7, 2014

Kadi "Kathy" A. Wilberg-Sing, 62, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 21, 1952, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Harald M. and Annette L. (Karusaar) Wilberg.

Kadi was a 1969 graduate of Lewes High School and continued her education attending Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa. She graduated from Wilson College in 1973 with a bachelor of arts degree in English. After completing her education, Kadi embarked on a longtime career as a program director with the National Association of College and University Business Officers. She loved working with children and volunteered many hours for local schools and countless hours for the blind. Kadi enjoyed any opportunities to chaperone student trips and was a part-time tutor at Shields Elementary School in Lewes.

She was very involved with her church, participating in the church prayer chain and many of the woman's activities within the church. She was an avid reader, reading anything and everything she could no matter what the subject. Kadi was a very social woman, outgoing, never meeting a stranger, and always making new faces her friend. Whenever time would permit, she enjoyed travelling and discovering new places to explore. She will be remembered as a loving mother, mentor and friend.

Kadi is survived by her daughter, Kristin Sing of Bozeman, Mont.; her former husband Mike Sing; and her loving feline companion, Loki.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 10, at 11 a.m., at Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wilson College, 1015 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Please indicate in the memo portion of your check "In Memory of Kadi A. Wilberg."
