Kenneth L. Ellis, Millsboro native
Kenneth L. Ellis, 70, passed peacefully Sunday, April 6, 2014, at home in Reston, Va.
Ken was born in Millsboro Sept. 20, 1943. He grew up in Seaford and resided in northern Virginia since 1968. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, dedicated salesman and friend who shared his warm smile and personable Eastern Shore charm with everyone.
He is survived by three daughters and their families, Kimberly Ellis, Giovanni Gorgone, and their daughter, Giuliana, of Reston; Whitney Ellis Yenesel, Ron Yenesel and their daughter, Bryn, of Reston; and Megan Ellis and Jason Hough of Clear Brook, Va.; brother J. Alfred "Al" Ellis Jr. of Wilmington; mother of Ken's daughters Lisa Foulk Ellis of Alexandria, Va.; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Catherine E. "Kitty" Lyons; and parents J. Alfred Ellis Sr. and Dorothy Lingo Ellis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 1700 Wainwright Drive, Reston, Va. A celebration of life will follow at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm, 42920 Broadlands Blvd., Ashburn, Va.
