Scott William Maxwell, restaurant chef

Scott William Maxwell of Bethany Beach died suddenly Friday, May 16, 2014, as the result of a car accident. Scott attended Sussex Technical High School and Delaware Technical Community College. He then made many friends working as a chef in various restaurants.

Scott will forever be remembered for his wonderful smile, great sense of humor and his love of children.

Scott is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Linda Maxwell of Bethany Beach; maternal grandparents, Ted and Lois Radcliffe of Dagsboro; aunt Sharon (Larry) Jones of Salisbury, Md.; uncles Bill (Sue) Radcliffe of Avella, Pa., Tom (Joanna) Radcliffe of Ridgely; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Maxwell of Bethany Beach.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held Wednesday May 21, at 7 p.m. at St. Martha’s Episcopal Church, Maple and Pennsylvania avenues, Bethany Beach. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service.
