'Over Our Dead Bodies' author to sign at Browseabout June 27

Todd Harra, fourth-generation undertaker, pens humorous anecdotes
June 24, 2014

Browseabout Books announces a book signing with Todd Harra, coauthor of "Over Our Dead Bodies: Undertakers Lift the Lid" at 5 p.m., Friday, June 27.

Harra is a fourth-generation undertaker descended from a cabinetmaker and tradesman undertaker of mid-19th century rural Delaware. He is the coauthor, along with Ken McKenzie, of the critically acclaimed, "Mortuary Confidential: Undertakers Spill the Dirt." In 2008, after appearing in the Men of Mortuaries calendar as Mr. January, Harra found himself writing that first book with McKenzie.

"Over Our Dead Bodies: Undertakers Lift the Lid" is a collection of quirky, fascinating and humorous anecdotes from funeral directors across the United States. As experts in the field of undertaking, McKenzie and Harra have created another witty compilation of experiences and anecdotes that will entertain anyone who enjoyed their first book.

From police intervening in a family riot during a memorial ceremony to funeral crashers looking for free meals, there’s no lack of absurd scenarios for readers to enjoy. A smorgasbord of wild coincidences, slapstick humor, touching moments, and awkward situations, "Over Our Dead Bodies" explores the lighter side of death across a span of 18 chapters. While based on actual events, details, names, and happenings have been altered and/or fictionalized to protect confidentialities.

Both "Mortuary Confidential" and "Over Our Dead Bodies" will be available for purchase and can be autographed by the author. For more information, go to browseaboutbooks.com or call 302-226-2665.
