Sarah Short Marsh, Georgetown resident
Sarah Frances Short Marsh, 93, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, in Lewes.
She was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Denton, Md., the first child of Luther Aaron Short and Helen Dora Short.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Marsh; and her brother, Luther A. Short Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Ballard of Lewes; three sons, Brent Marsh of Georgetown, Jon Marsh of Bethesda, Md. and James B. Marsh of Sandusky, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dori Shivers of Baltimore, Md., Daniel Marsh and Sarah Marsh, both of Bethesda; and a nephew, Luther A. Short III of Lewes.
Services will be private. Please don’t send flowers. Instead do what Sarah would do: plant some flowers or a tree. You may also make a contribution to the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library, 123 West Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
