Delaware Celebration of Jazz Donates to the RBVFC
At the recent RB-DB Chamber of Commerce “Business After Hours” event at the Starboard in Dewey Beach, Delaware Celebration of Jazz made a donation to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
The Celebration of Jazz's $1,000 donation to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company is especially meaningful given how vital the RBVFC is to the area. The RBVFC protects a full-time population of 30,000 and a seasonal population of over 300,000, covering 32 square miles including Dewey Beach, and responded to over 5,500 fire, rescue, and EMS calls in 2025 alone.
Much of the gear used by volunteers is aging and becoming less reliable, so fundraising for updated equipment — including a new ladder truck estimated at $1.6 million and firefighter gear costing nearly $21,000 per person — is an ongoing need.
It's great to see the local business community coming together at events like the RB-DB Chamber's Business After Hours to support organizations like the RBVFC.
