We have seven, yes seven, spectacular fall events to tell you about in this final September edition of our “Weekender Blog,” where we feature all that’s happening at the Delaware and Maryland beaches over the next few days.

This week’s events are being held in several different towns throughout the coastal region, with a little something for everyone’s likes and tastes.

From a real “going to the dogs” event in Dewey Beach to some of the nation’s fastest powerboats racing for supremacy in Ocean City, get out there and enjoy another great weekend in the coastal region.

So without further delay, let’s tell you all about this weekend’s biggest events. We begin in Dewey Beach with some of the cutest beach bums you’ll ever see:

Dewey’s Golden Jubilee (September 27-29). Approximately 200 Golden Retrievers and their owners are expected this weekend for the second of two annual “Golden” weekends in Dewey Beach.

Frequently cited as one of the most dog-friendly beaches in America, Dewey Beach will again be party central this weekend, with several fun activities planned over the course of the three-day weekend event.
