Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland

The second weekend of March features a whole lot of green, the Irish variety, as several towns and cities in the region celebrate St. Patrick's Day over the next few days.

St. Patrick's Day events in Milton, Wilmington, Ocean City and Annapolis dominate this weekend's events calendar. Read much more below and plan for a fun weekend of celebration in your municipality of choice.

While these are the headliners for this week, we've also got several other fun events to tell you about for the weekend of March 10-12 at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade (March 12)

The 15th Annual Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade will be taking place this Sunday, March 12, and is expected to last between one and two hours.

This year's parade will kick off at 2 p.m., at the intersection of Union Street and Atlantic Avenue and will conclude at Milton Elementary School on Federal Street.

Close to 100 entries are expected this year, with all proceeds being donated to the Milton Fire Department, the Milton Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Club of Milton.

The annual Lucky Leprechaun 5K will also be held again in 2023, which kicks off at 11 a.m.

As always, this event is sponsored by Irish Eyes in downtown Milton, where there will also be an afterparty following the parade.

Delaware Resorts Health, Fitness & Leisure Expo (March 11)

More than 80 exhibitors are scheduled for the 5th Annual Delaware Resorts Health, Fitness & Leisure Expo this Saturday at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.

Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and sponsored by Beebe Healthcare, exhibitors will be on hand in areas that include health and fitness, outdoor furniture, watercraft, physical therapy, golf courses and much more.

Lucky 7 Sportsman Bash (March 11)

The Rehoboth Beach Convention Center is the site this Saturday, March 11, for the 2023 Lucky 7 Sportsman Bash.

Sponsored by the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company and Eastern Sussex Ducks Unlimited, activities include food, a cash bar, live and silent auctions, games, raffles and more.

More than $15,000 in prizes will be handed out during this event, which runs from 4:30 until 9:30 p.m., on March 11.
