Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland

St. Patrick's Day festivities continue this weekend with more green-themed events in Ocean City, Georgetown, and Milford. So get decked out in your favorite green attire and enjoy yourself over the next few days at and near the coastal region.

Warmer temperatures have already begun creeping into our daily forecasts, with much more on the way in the coming days and weeks. This weekend is a great chance to enjoy the early spring weather while also partaking in some of the region's best annual events and gatherings.

We have several great things to tell you about this week. So keep reading for the Oldfather Group's top events for the extended weekend of March 15-17 at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

Ocean City St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival (March 16)

One of the region's largest St. Patrick's Day events is happening this Saturday, March 16, in fabulous Ocean City, Maryland.

Sponsored by the Delmarva Irish-American Club, the parade kicks off at noon and will run from 59th to 45th Streets.

A companion Irish Festival begins at 11 a.m., at the 45th Street Shopping Center and will include live music, dancing, and lots of food and drinks.

More than 100 entries are expected in this year's parade in Ocean City. Learn more at delmarvairish.org.

Schellville Easter Eggstravaganza (March 16-24)

The popular Schellville complex just off Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach will again be alive with activity over the next few days, beginning this Saturday, March 16, and running through Sunday, March 24.

Plan on celebrating at this family-friendly site near the beach. Planned events and activities include Easter Egg hunts, face painting, character meet and greets, kids' games, and much more.

The Easter Bunny will also be on-site for special appearances and photo ops.

St. Patrick's Day Block Party (March 16)

Revelation Brewery in Georgetown will be hosting this special holiday-themed event on Saturday, March 16, from 12 until 4 p.m.

The day will feature several family-friendly events, including local food options, craft vendors, live music from "Cocktails at Three," a St. Patrick's 's-themed photo booth, face painting, and more.

This event is jointly sponsored by the Town of Georgetown and the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.
