The free Concerts by the Canal series continues its sixth season with the crowd-pleasing The Plate Scrapers. The band returns to Lewes Canalfront Park for a repeat performance on Thursday August 3 at 7:00 pm. The park is located at 211 Front Street in Historic Lewes. This event is free and made possible through support of Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. The Plate Scrapers are an energetic, hard-driving band that draws influence from their wide background in music including folk, jazz, blues, Americana and especially bluegrass. The band performs crowd-pleasing covers and bluegrass favorites, plus their own captivating originals. The Plate Scrapers have gained a reputation from their live performances as talented musicians who are sure to have the crowd singing along. Through their charisma on stage, it’s obvious that these guys genuinely love what they do, as will the audience!Bring your blanket or lawn chair and maybe a picnic dinner to enjoy this free event on the banks of the beautiful Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.
