Schell Brothers is partnering with The Harry K Foundation to spread kudos with a purpose in November and December

November 8, 2021

Schell Brothers' commitment to supporting the local community is more than a seasonal gesture of philanthropic awareness. We are in constant support of the community where we live and work. In January of 2020, Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers launched Kudos For A Cause to give back to the community in a BIG way- and invited everybody to help. Each month Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers partners with a different charity to help spread happiness and raise money for a good cause, harnessing the power of social media to make people around us feel awesome! For every kudos given, Schell Brothers donates $1 to our charity of the month.  You can give kudos by commenting on the Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers Facebook or Instagram posts, your page, or filling out a digital sticker right on the Project Kudos website. At the end of the month, kudos are tallied, and Schell Brothers donates $1 for each kudos given. In 10 months, Schell Brothers has donated $177,676, collaborated with over 14 local non-profits, and spread the kudos love. This November and December, Project Kudos is partnering with our longtime friends and community advocates from The Harry K Foundation to help them defeat childhood hunger in Delaware.

The Harry K Foundation is a non-profit group established by Harry Keswani that has vowed to raise money and donate 100% of these proceeds to help alleviate the problem of food insecurity in its local community. Their mission is that no child goes to bed hungry- H4 Initiative (Help Harry Halt Hunger). The H4 Initiative has pledged to help the Food Bank of Delaware support children's nutritional programs within Sussex County. Research shows that children who eat more nutritious meals are less likely to miss school, have fewer behavioral problems and perform better in school. Working with the Food Bank of Delaware, the H4 Initiative will be addressing childhood hunger on all fronts – after school, during the summer, and on the weekends.

“We will focus all our efforts to support this amazing foundation that has already done so much good for our community. We made it very easy for everybody to participate in the campaign: just #givekudos, show gratitude for the good things you already have in your life, and Schell Brothers will pay it forward. It is a win-win situation, and I strongly believe that our community will come together and support.” - Adelina Riddick, Marketing Specialist at Schell Brothers

“We are so excited about our collaboration with Harry K as our Kudos for a Cause partner during Schellville. Like Harry, we are very passionate about ending childhood hunger in Sussex County. We are also asking all of our community partners at Schellville to donate 10% of revenue in lieu of rent during Schellville, proceeds that will benefit The Harry K Foundation.” - Alyssa Titus, Marketing Director at Schell Brothers

Join Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers for the next two months on social media and in person at the Project Kudos bus. The bus will be parked at the Schellville Enchanted Winter Celebration, located behind Tanger Outlets Seaside. Let’s #givekudos together and do good for our community.
