Edward C. Rohlfing, retired mechanic
Edward C. Rohlfing, 95, of Millsboro passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020.
Mr. Rohlfing was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Jan. 25, 1925, to the late Edward K. and Florence Johnson Rohlfing. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two children and two siblings.
He worked as a mechanic for Wawa, and also was a used car salesman. Ed was a U.S. WWII Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 28, and also a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Georgetown. He collected trains, liked buying and selling from yard sales, and buying and selling cars.
Ed is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Jane Rohlfing of Millsboro; 10 children: Ed Rohlfing (Lillian) of Georgetown, Sally Irvin of Pennsylvania, Mary Weaver (Bob) of Pennsylvania, Helen Pace (Tom) of Georgetown, Joan Smith of Millsboro, William Rohlfing (Becky) of Harbeson, Gene Rohlfing ( Sheila) of Georgetown, Rose West (Pat) of Millsboro, Larry Rohlfing (Lisa) of Georgetown, and Florie Milligan of Harrington; three stepchildren: Beverly Hendrickson (J.W.) of Kentucky, Art Latham (Karen) of Ellendale and Junell Latham (Tom) of Millsboro. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as extended family members and friends.
Due to the sate of emergency and coronavirus conditions, services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Paralyzed and Disabled Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth St. NW, Washington, DC 20006.
