The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre will present free public performances of “Aladdin” as its community outreach tour this season. Performances kick off at 11 a.m., Monday, July 14, at the Selbyville Public Library, with shows continuing through 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Harrington Public Library,
The play tells the familiar story of a street urchin, a magic lamp and a powerful genie. The RSCT version spices up the original with the addition of an eager apprentice genie. Two actors play all the characters in a delightful 45-minute show.
Bringing “Aladdin” to life is the summer resident team of Elena Nahrmann and Jed Krivisky, RSCT’s 2025 actors in residence. Lightning-quick costume changes and a lively sense of humor are the hallmarks of this family-fun show.
Nahrmann plays The Sorceress, The Genie, The Princess and Aladdin’s Mother. Krivisky plays Aladdin, The Princess’ Servant and Mister Green Genie.
