‘True Story of Zippy Chippy’ author to sign books June 27

Bethany Beach Books will host a meet-and-greet and book signing event with author Artie Bennett at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 27.

Bennett will be showcasing and discussing his heartwarming picture-book biography, “The True Story of Zippy Chippy: The Little Horse That Couldn't,” as well as his classic picture books, and joke and riddle books.

“The True Story of Zippy Chippy” is beautifully illustrated by Dave Szalay, who captures the soul of a steed.

Zippy ran 100 races and lost every one, but in the process, he became a legend, just like his champion ancestors including Man o' War.

Zippy is still alive and kicking today, more than 30 years old, living at an upstate New York retirement facility for thoroughbreds, where he is the reigning celebrity.
