Advanced Rehabilitation to host grand opening June 26
Advanced Rehabilitation, a privately owned outpatient therapy clinic, will host a ribbon cutting and community open house from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, June 26, at its new state-of-the-art facility at Southern Delaware Medical Center, 17637 Shady Road, Suite 104, Lewes.
Co-owners Jeanne Knowles Foraker and Daniel Speciale are excited to expand their services. A Delaware native and certified hand therapist, Foraker has been providing specialized hand therapy services in Sussex County for over 10 years. She comes from a family rooted in rehabilitation, inspired by her mother and grandfather, who were also in the therapy field. Foraker said she believes in doing “the right things, right” — for patients, physicians and the entire Sussex County community.
The team is expanding its hand therapy program and will soon introduce physical therapy services as well.
“This new location allows us to grow our team and expand our services,” said Foraker. “We’re committed to continuing to provide high-quality, personalized care to our community.” The new clinic is designed to deliver both occupational and physical therapy services with a focus on continuity of care, ensuring patients work with the same therapist throughout their treatment for consistent, focused outcomes.
Earning the certified hand therapist designation requires years of clinical experience and passing a rigorous board examination. This credential ensures a high level of expertise in treating complex conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder — services that are not widely available in the area.
“We’re proud to bring this level of care to Sussex County,” said Speciale. “As we expand into physical therapy and beyond, our goal is to maintain the personalized feel of a small practice while delivering outcomes that make a big impact.”
The clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
