Alice L. Fields-Boggs, loved family time

March 25, 2021

Alice Lynette Fields-Boggs, 59, of Dover departed Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover.

She was born to the late Edith and Henry Jackson in Nansemond County, Virginia, and raised in Suffolk, Va.

Alice loved to watch “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing softball, and playing spades and tonk. She loved the Lord, and she had a personality out of this world. She never bit her tongue unless her Uncle Pee Wee said something; then ... well, we all know what happened after that; she was quiet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Fields, Paul Brundage and her grandson.

She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cania Fields of Danville, Va.; niece/daughter, Gina, Danielle, Alice and Jasmine; 14 grandchildren, Zietara, Donta, Gabrielle, Breonna, Josh, Zhantonio, Donya, Iszac, Robbie, Beaute, Maddie, R.J., Bobbii, and Maximus; one great-granddaughter, Gi Gi; Uncle Daddy, Hoarce E. Dudley; sister and a host of cousins; and other special people in her life, Patrina Reed and Shavell Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Interment will be in Old Hickory Cemetery, Slaughter Neck.

All attending must wear a mask and adhere to distancing and gathering protocols. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to your favorite charity in her name.

Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
