Allen Harim holds drawing for vaccination prize recipients

$1,000 given to 11 winners chosen
December 28, 2021

Eleven lucky Allen Harim workers’ names were drawn and they were presented with $1,000 prizes for getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The drawings took place Nov. 27 at the Harbeson plant from among all fully vaccinated workers.

“We are all about incentives,” said Ian Toomey, corporate safety manager. “We’ve drew names to award TVs and gave a paid day off if they get the vaccine.”

The drawings were for all 1,592 employees including those at the Millsboro plant and feed mills as well as drivers.

“Thank you, God,” said winner Sheronda Jones Fosque. “Thank you, God. I needed this so much. Thank you, Jesus.”

The majority of all Allen Harim workers are vaccinated, due partly to the company’s COVID-19 vaccination outreach efforts with First State Community Action Agency and Beebe Healthcare.
