Army choppers land in Georgetown

Two U.S. Army CH-47F Chinook helicopters landed at Delaware Coastal Airport June 20. They were from the Georgia Army National Guard, based at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga. The helicopters were taking part in an exercise in Virginia. They crew said they had some time off, so the flew over New York City. They stopped in Georgetown for fuel and lunch at Arena’s on the way back.

Bill has worked in his hometown of Philadelphia, as well as Atlanta and Washington, D.C. He came to Lewes in 2014 to help launch WRDE-TV. Bill is an avid aviation and wildlife photographer, and a big Penn State football, Eagles, Phillies and PGA Tour golf fan. Bill, his wife Jill and their rescue cat, Lucky, live in Rehoboth Beach.
