Artful touch to present mixed-media class Oct. 18
Milton Arts Guild announced this month’s Artful Touch will be an acrylic/mixed-media class with Kathy Fessenbecker from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the studio at 310 Walnut St., Milton. For most artists, anything goes in the exciting world of mixed media.
Fessenbecker will lead attendees in beginning with acrylic paint and moving on to experiment with a myriad of papers, pencils and whatever the imagination allows. She has worked in watercolor, porcelain painting, oil, color pencil, acrylic, collage and mixed media. Her art education has been through private classes and workshops. She teaches private classes and painting parties.
Originally from Chester County, Pa., Fessenbecker spent 30 years in the Tampa Bay, Fla. area before recently moving to the Lewes area. Active in the Florida art community, she was a member and officer of several art guilds and an original member of Art Trysts Studio. She is a member of Milton Arts Guild and Rehoboth Art League.
"The creative urge continues to push, keeping me creating and stretching. I love working with mixed media, blending realism and abstract, often inspired by nature," said Fessenbecker.
MAG Artful Touch classes offer a no-pressure environment for a great way to try something new or to revisit an art style. Classes are $30 for guild members, if prepaid. For nonmembers or members who have not prepaid, the cost is $40.
