Artist Elizabeth Collard first in line at new gallery space, The Upper Crust
July 14, 2012
The Upper Crust, offering coffee and more at 7 East Market St., Georgetown, is displaying the artwork of local artist Elizabeth Collard, BWS, PVW, during its opening month in business.
Owner Bruce Mead sponsored a free raffle of one of Collard’s watercolor paintings on rice paper, "Peonies in Blue Vase," which was won by Jymayce Wescott of Millsboro.
Mead, himself a watercolor artist, has designated space in the upscale coffee bar/eatery for ongoing displays by local artists. Collard said she was thrilled to be chosen as the first artist to hang paintings in the new business.
