Artwork selected for Milton Holiday House Tour booklet

The Women's Club of Milton announced a watercolor by artist Anne Buck, titled "Winter Cottage," has been selected for the cover of its Milton Holiday House Tour booklet for 2025.

The artwork was originally created as an exercise for a class Buck was teaching. Students were tasked with changing an image of a summer scene to a winter one, paying close attention to detail and color. WCOM members were drawn to its seasonal, cottage allure, ideal for the annual event.

Buck is an award-winning artist who enjoys the translucence and luminosity of watercolor. After careers in soil conservation and teaching, Buck followed her love of design, studying watercolor with many nationally recognized artists. She now teaches workshops at home and at the Milton Arts Guild, where she is the education coordinator and a past president. She is also a member of the Delaware Watercolor Society, Delaware By Hand and the Rehoboth Art League.

The Milton Holiday House Tour will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, featuring private homes and public buildings in the historic town of Milton. All will be decorated for the holiday season.

Tour proceeds fund the club's charitable and educational endeavors.
