Atracare welcomes board-certified family medicine physician
Atracare announced the addition of Roland Zhang, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, to its expanding team of providers.
Zhang brings a passion for evidence-based, patient-centered care to the Delaware community, serving patients with a focus on building sustainable, long-term health.
Originally from upstate New York, Zhang completed his residency training at Arnot Ogden Family Medicine in Elmira, N.Y., where he distinguished himself as chief resident and was honored with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Resident Educator of the Year Award. These recognitions highlight his dedication not only to clinical excellence but also to mentoring and advancing the future of medicine.
In his practice, Zhang follows a guiding philosophy: The best care blends scientific evidence with each patient’s unique goals and values. He works collaboratively with patients to design personalized care plans that are both effective and achievable, empowering them to play an active role in their own health.
While skilled in caring for patients across their lifespan, Zhang has a particular passion for men’s health, lifestyle medicine and helping patients improve fitness, nutrition and weight management. His goal is to not only improve health metrics but also enhance his patients’ overall quality of life.
“Dr. Zhang has already proven to be a great addition to the Atracare team,” said William Albanese, CEO of Atracare. “In a short time, he has developed a loyal fan base among his patients and continues to drive primary care to the next level. His approachable style and commitment to individualized care reflect the innovative and compassionate medicine we strive to deliver.”
Zhang said he strives to be the doctor for patients who hate going to the doctor, whether it’s for preventive screenings, chronic disease management or personalized guidance on fitness and nutrition. His goal is to create a supportive, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected and motivated.
Outside the clinic, Zhang enjoys testing new recipes on his Blackstone griddle, playing Helldivers 2, and fishing along the Delaware Bay, often encouraging his patients to join him.
