Author Diana McDonough to sign books July 13 in Bethany
Bethany Beach Books will host author Diana McDonough for a signing event from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 13.
McDonough will be signing copies of her novels “Stuck in the Onesies” and “My Mother’s Apprentice.”
“Book signings give me the opportunity to connect with readers on a more intimate level,” said McDonough. “I always learn more about what people are interested in when it comes to character development, style and what they think makes for a compelling story.”
“Stuck in the Onesies” takes place in the ‘60s and follows the story of two friends, Barb and Ellie. They try to be independent while living the “Donna Reed” lifestyle, raising kids and husbands in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., during the counterculture and civil rights movement eras.
“My Mother’s Apprentice” is the sequel to “Stuck in the Onesies.” It follows the story of Barb and Ellie’s daughters, Karen and Ginger, as they blaze their own paths in Jamaica, as an author and a singer. Both books address many social issues such as racism, abortion and addiction, providing book clubs with great discussion points.
