Author Kelly Lidji to sign Delaware-based horror books Oct. 25

October 14, 2025

Author Kelly Lidji will sign copies of her "Haunting Clarity" book series, including the newest release, “Isolation,” from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, at at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.

In “Isolation,” Claire has it all — or she thinks she does. Her life is perfect. Great job, wonderful, loving husband, and an adorable, precocious daughter thriving in middle school. Her charmed life in Rehoboth Beach is everything she wants it to be — until it's not. Utter heartbreak rocks her perfect world. And she does, of course, see ghosts.

Louis Robinson wants to have it all. In 1910, he is the newest apprentice lighthouse keeper at the Fourteen Foot Bank Lighthouse in Delaware Bay. His sleepless nights are plagued by voices that only he can hear. How long until those voices are too hard to ignore? What happens after the end? What becomes of a spirit left alone, miles from shore, with only the worst thoughts imaginable to keep him company? Can Claire help free Louis from his torment? Or will she be too trapped in a torment all her own?

Lidji said, "I grew up in Delaware surrounded by ghost stories handed down through generations. My own teenage years were filled with trips out to Maggie's bridge with my friends to try and raise her spirit (and scare ourselves in the process), or white-knuckling it driving the road at night that goes by Cokesbury Church. If alone, I was leaving myself vulnerable to the ghost that wandered the road there. I want to embrace these stories and give them the attention they deserve."
