Authors to discuss their paths to publication June 27

Authors Katie Runde and Ethan Joella will discuss their paths to publication in a conversation set for 5 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 27, at the Glade Clubhouse in Rehoboth Beach.

Though Joella and Runde have never met in person, they have a lot in common. Their debut novels, Joella’s “A Little Hope” and Runde’s “The Shore,” shared the same editor and were both published by Scribner with great fanfare and even better reviews.

Both novels are set in small, tight-knit communities, have multiple points of view and center around the devastating illness of a beloved community member.

Each author will read a short excerpt, then talk about what inspired their book and what that process looked like from idea to publication. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions.

Browseabout Books and the Rehoboth Beach Writers' Guild are partnering on this event. Attendance is free, but purchasing the authors' books is encouraged. Joella and Runde will sign and personalize books purchased before or during the event.
