Back-to-school stand-up comedy special set Sept. 24

September 20, 2021

Milton Theatre will host a stand-up comedy show with Joey Callahan, featuring Don Hines and hosted by Keith Purnell, at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24.

The kids are back to school, and it’s time for the adults to have some comedy fun.

Joey Callahan has headlined clubs and casinos all over the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He has performed his one-man show at the prestigious Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is a regular at the Borgata in Atlantic City. He has appeared on Comedy Central, ESPN, Fox TV and the BBC.

Don Hines, aka "JREAM," was blessed with the gift of comedy. As a young boy growing up in North Carolina, he would take his trials and tribulations and turn those experiences into laughter. He was always the center of attention, especially at family and friends gatherings. In 2005, he won the Delaware State Talent Show.

Host Keith Purnell is one of the fastest-rising comics from Delaware. He's a high-energy performer whose quick wit, style, and fast-paced humor make him a hit and personal favorite of audiences young and old.
